Balad Beast Portal Door Activation
The Brief
Design and produce a freestanding festival activation inspired by the distinctive doors, windows and architecture of Al Balad, for the Balad Beast festival, produced across two consecutive years.
My Role
I led the concept and production of the Portal Door activation, translating the architectural character of Al Balad into a physical festival installation.
The Challenge
Bringing local architectural tradition into a contemporary festival setting in a way that felt authentic to Al Balad's heritage, while working within a festival production timeline and format.
